Top 5 Unique Wedding Venues in Calgary
The 2017 wedding season is in full swing for Posey Lane Weddings. And while folks looking to get married in Calgary, Canmore or Banff this year likely have only a few available options in 2018, it is certainly doesn't hurt to start plan ahead for 2019.
So, 2018 + 2019 brides- and grooms-to-be, I've put together this list of my very favourite Calgary wedding venues. From contemporary to urban to classic and timeless, these locations are to die for.
The Lake House - Oozing with what I like to call "Rustic Elegance," this upscale restaurant is truly a showstopper. There are huge windows that overlook Lake Bonavista which make it feel like you're not in the city, plus a patio and the most beautiful decor you've ever feasted your eyes on.
River Cafe - If you've ever been to Prince’s Island Park, you've seen River Cafe. And if you've never been there, you're missing out. This gorgeous restaurant has the feel and nostalgic appearance of an old Rocky Mountain fishing lodge with its open-hearth fieldstone fireplace and panoramic views of the park and Calgary's dramatic cityscape beyond. You have to see it to believe it.
Alloy - Kind of a hidden gem, this high-end restaurant is retro and contemporary all at the same time. It's a bright venue that boasts round white booths, a gorgeous patio, floor-to-ceiling windows and get this - cherry blossom trees!
charbar - This upscale restaurant is located in a century-old building along the Bow River. It's a little bit urban, a little bit industrial and a little bit rustic. If the stunning rooftop patio doesn't make you melt, I don't know what will.
Teatro - This historic grand space is mindblowingly beautiful. It's an award-winning contemporary restaurant with a longstanding reputation of being one of Calgary's top establishments.
And there you have it, friends. What I consider the top 5 Calgary wedding venues. Want to see them with your own eyes? Contact Posey Lane for a whirlwind venue tour...
